Embrace your Inner Elf

Oh my word this sentiment made me laugh so darn hard. I thought everyone should get this card in November, such as a girls husband and family and inside should have your Christmas list....right??!  Sounds reasonable to me!

This image came from no other than Whimsey Doodles.  I coloured the boots and leggings with copics and then used Christmas Stickles (I know, how appropriate,eh??). It is such a simple image and sentiment but in my small opinion it's worth it's weight in gold (good thing digis don't weigh much or I would be in the poor house).

I used Me and My Big Ideas: Mambi paper.  It is such cute Christmas paper and lets face it, who doesn't have paper that needs to be used....lol (yes I know the hoarders hotline, but refuse to call, I still have a trail....).

This card will be entered at Atlantic hearts Sketch Challenge, which I am proud to say I have been asked to join their team.....yeah me!!!  :). Happy Scrappin folks!
Much love,
T

Let It Snow...really??

Am I nuts?  It's the middle of the summer and I am thinking of snow!!!   Wake me up from this nightmare.....not so quick surfer dudes and dudettes!  I loved making this card!  I used a Penny Black stamp set called Let It Snow.  I stamped most of these images with staz on mostly because the other ink companies I have did not produce a good quality image....so not impressed!

I actually did this as a challenge for the blog: Christmas card challenge.
I used Stampin ups Not Quite Navy as the base; which, I then embossed snowflakes for creating my own
background.  Then I stamped and coloured in the images.  I matted the sentiment as it seemed to help it "pop" on
The snowmans' hand.  I ripped some white cardstock and rubbed some basic grey from Stampin up on the frayed
top.  I hope you have a cheerific kinda day
Cheers

Santa's Time

I loved making a Christmas card in July. It was so fun as there was no pressure to get 10 cards completed in a certain amount of time.  This is a monthly challenge at scrap, paper, scissors (yeah, Helen!).  This image is from Stampin up and it was coloured with Stampin up markers.  I created an easel card for this because I loved the sentiments that came with the image.  The top sentiment says Wondrous Wishes and the bottom says: the joy of brightening a child's heart creates the magic of Christmas.  Both sentiments were embossed with black glitter embossing powder.

I used Bo Bunny Christmas paper from their........line.  The green and tinsel thread are from my sewing basket (which definitely doesn't get used for sewing).  I used American Crafts red sparkly brads and  Christmas red Stickles.

I had not used my punches in awhile so I dusted a few of those off and punched the lower boarder....it makes all the difference...lol.  Have a scrap happy day:).

Cheers,
T

Thank you (fairy)

This digi is from Birdie Brown!  I love her images!  She creates such fun and whimsy little creatures :). I coloured this with copics.  I started with G05 and worked up in color from there.  I used B0000 to give the fairy a magic Ora. I used Recollections white frost glitter glue to give the wings a shimmery shine.

I used some paper that I have had for years from Basic Grey. I do tend to hoard Basic Grey as they are definitely one of my favourites!  It is from the line ......   I had never created rolled roses and had decided to give it a whirl-  they are fun and I love having them match the paper that you use. So much fun!  I then used a Recollections bling in the centre of each rosette.  The leaf is a prima.  I hope you enjoy this creation.

I highly recommend checking out Birdie Brown, not only is her purchased digis awesome but she gives  super freebies too:). Happy day folks

Happy Birthday Princess

This card was inspired by my daughter.  It is her birthday very soon and it is a princess theme.  I used a sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  What a great place to go for a bit of great inspiration! Way to go Ladies :).

I used an image from Pollycraft.  You can find her at www.pollycraft.co.uk.  She has the cutest digital stamps!  I love them all...so whimsy and cute.  I did use copics to color my princess.  I was not thinking though because I coloured her hair blond instead of brunette...lol.  I added American crafts rhinestones to her head band and and belt.  i also added doodlebug glitter to jazz up her dress.  I love my princess (best right now because she is sleeping- lets face it they don't make many demands while dreaming of fun on the playground). On that note I need to look for another project while the house is all mine:)
Have a scrap happy night (or day).

Cheers,
T

Hello friend (Chichi Memories)

This image made me smile right away because who doesn't LOVE to sit on a swing?  I remember running for the swings as a kid and having a grand ol time!  Now they make me car sick...lol. I still love that our dd adores the swings!  This image came from Chi Chi Memories at:
 http://www.chichimemories.com/.

I just love their images as they are simply sweet.  I used Sharpies to color this  image because I wanted
it to be clear and sharp.  The American crafts paper with the birds came from my LSS a little bit ago.  No name
glitter brads and basill raspberry cardstock.  Flowers are from CTMH with Recollections bling.

Dinosaur Happy birthday

I must apologize for the quality of this photo- it was very late when I finished it.  This card image came to me in a swap and I loved that it was already coloured. Sometimes when time is an issue an already coloured image is wonderful!  I don't tend to use them much but only because they use a lot of coloured ink.  I found that it went together very fast because it was a simple card LO and not many frills.

Hope you have a fantastic day!
Cheers,
T

Eating Chocolate should be a National Holiday!

This LO speaks for itself.  I think that every kid or at least a lot of them truly enjoy chocolate!  Seeing as though it puts a smile on a persons face ( just look at hers), well I guess it's worth doing!  Hope your having a fantastic night!

Cheers,

Christmas in July

This layout was completed because of a challenge at Scrap, Paper Scissors (SPS).  Those ladies are always finding new ways to inspire us!  My daughter is in this dress because out niece, Stephanie, had graduated after many tumultuous tries she finally got it!  Way to go Stephanie!

Our DD wanted to dress up for this proud occasion and I had purchased this Christmas dress the previous year and it finally fit!  Her grandmother has always wanted a picture with her 4 granddaughters so this was the prime opportunity.  Being the kinda mom who grabs every picture I can get I certainly didn't waste any time snapping up a bunch of these.

It has been very dark around and the photo was snapped a bit ago.  Even these would not be colors I would have chosen to put together - when the LO was finished the colors seemed to work, at least for July!
Have a wonderful crafty day!
Cheers,
T

Shezen

Within the last few months I have taken to Art Journaling. I LOVE mixed media!  It fascinates me how I can use various art supplies and create something I quite enjoy, because truthfully I don't always enjoy my own work.  I think it's because I see flaws however, this is different. Art journaling is all about the mistakes you make and how they, in the end, fit together.  I have been journaling since February and I will not post all of my work but some I am willing to share.

This piece I call Shezen because it incorporates she art with zentangle.  Zentangle is really quite relaxing and it is great to do when your watching tv, waiting for someone or even eating breakfast.  I have wanted to dip my brush (well, really my finger) in paint to see what I would create for a Shezen image, here is my first one.  I hope you enjoy:)

Cheers,
