What does being BRAVE mean to you?

The next round of Art journaling came from the question what do you think bravery is? I took a very personal approach to this question. Being a diabetic is one thing but living with someone with diabetes is bravery!

I used a gritty medium that I painted with my finger. I love getting this down for others to read. It was amazing because I just let the pen do the talking.

Art Journal....first but not my last:)

Well I must say that I tried Art Journaling and immediately fell in love! I guess the first thing that I learned was layers make the biggest difference. At SOS there are challenges posted that help or prompt you to think about a creation. This one was a word that encompassed the year. My word is possible....ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

Challenge #1 at SOS

This is my favourite because I love the paper company Echo Park, in particular, love the color combination. It has a little bling and is a bit messy because of the torn and inked edges. I completed this LO for a friend. It is her DD with the happy feet! :)

Snowmen in April...

These little cuties began as a seasonal swap; however, I thought they were so cute I made some for Christmas too! They were easy enough to make- I started with the top toe die from stampin up and used a couple of punches, chalk, google eyes and embossing folder (not sure which one). And.......a little glue........Voila! Creations made for next season have officially begun....lol.

Flying By to say 'HI'

This little hummingbird is a Dustin Pike line art drawing! He does such an amazing job on all his art work! I LOVE it! I coloured the image with copics on C.C. Designs Cardstock. I have to gush over this Cardstock. IT IS UNBELIEVABLE! I simply love coloring on it and mistakes are soooo forgivable.

The flower design comes from stampin up dies; for both the bloom around the bird and the card shape. Kaiserkraft Gem bling and I wrote the sentiment. This was a fun card to put together because I got to practice more copic coloring! Have a super over the top kinda day!

This card uses All that Scraps, Abigail. They are presently having a card challenge for winged things! I used colorbok Cardstock, I love Elsie card, MM rub ons, Martha Stewart punches with Doodle bug glitter. I used copics to color the little fairy image

Rain boots swap

I am involved in a split coast stampers swap. It is entered around seasons......so I decided to do something with boots- rain boots! No real special products except the stamp set comes from Stampin' up.

We all have had days where the day or event will never pass. They always do pass but when your in the event it feels as though life has dealt a rotten card! This image came in a swap from a friend. It was a super easy card to make, just added a little twine and brad...hiho hiho we are all done yet another card;)

Snowman Pendant

I had a blast making this cutie! The snowman was made with Fimo clay. I put black seed beads in the eyes and after it was baked I painted them black. I used American Crafts twine, Heidi swap crystals and copic markers for the nose. The beads are all from various places and I used split rings to make the chain. It was a learning curve that was steep but I loved learning to put together beaded charms;)
